Ferreira compared Brazil’s homicide levels to active war zones and highlighted alarming statistics, such as the dramatic rise in police assassinations and stray-bullet deaths. He criticized the Brazilian government and judiciary for policies he believes empower criminal organizations, including lenient custody hearings, restrictions on police operations, and corruption scandals linked to political elites. Ferreira praised El Salvador’s security model and urged Brazilian lawmakers to restore constitutional balance, ensure judicial accountability, and confront criminal power structures with resolve.
